Level 1

This is the basic horse Riding program offered at the academy.


Eligibility criteria

This program is suitable for the first time riders or anyone who wants to brush up the basics of walk, trot and canter can sign up for this course.


Course Outline

The level 1 Program is divided into three modules:-

A test will be conducted after the last class of each module which would decide the advancement to the next module. If the rider requires more number of classes to graduate to the next module then additional number of lessons will be suggested by the trainer to proceed to the next module.


Course outcome

The Rider will be able to walk, trot and canter on the horse based on the individual skill set after completion of the all three modules of level 1.

After the completion of level 1 program, the riders can take up some more lessons to prepare for their level 1 certification test.

Module 1 – 20 Lessons

Course Outline

The module begins with the introduction to horses. A brief orientation class is held on the first day of the module followed by a small demonstration of grooming and tacking up of the horses. The Riders get to experience what goes in and out of the grooming and tacking up the horse.

The program starts with a little bit of ground work with the horses along with mounting and dismounting lesson followed by the lessons on walk and posting Trot.


Course outcome

The rider will be equipped to handle the horse on the ground along with walking and posting trot skills based on the individual skill set.

Module 2 – 15 Lessons


Eligibility criteria

Module1 has to be completed or should be able to do posting trot.

This program is suitable for the trotting riders or advanced riders who would want to brush up their sitting trot basics.


Course Outline:

The module begins with the introduction to sitting trot. This module entirely focuses on the sitting trot and biomechanics of the rider emphasizing more on strengthening the core and maintaining good balance in trot.


Course outcome

The riders will be equipped to ride the horse in sitting trot with appropriate biomechanics, good body posture and good body balance.

Module3 – 10 Lessons


Eligibility criteria

Module 2 has to be completed or should be able to do sitting trot.

This program is suitable for riders who are familiar with sitting trot or advanced riders who would want to brush up their basics in canter.


Course Outline

The module begins with the tweaking of the sitting trot, introducing the canter gait to the riders.

This module focuses more on the seat of the rider, body posture and balance when the horse is in trot and canter.


Module 3 outcome

The riders will be equipped to ride the horse in canter gait with appropriate biomechanics, good body posture and good body balance. The last 2 sessions will be a revision of all the three modules preparing the riders for the test of LEVEL 1 certification.
